General

What does DigiVort do?

We design, build and support custom websites, online shops and business platforms. Everything is built in Laravel on our own tested engines, by a senior team working from British Columbia and Dubai.

How do we work together across time zones?

Our British Columbia office works on Pacific time and our Dubai office on Gulf time, so someone is available during most clients' business day. We agree on a regular meeting slot that suits you, and use written updates and a shared project board so nothing depends on being online at the same moment.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. We are happy to sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before you share detailed plans, documents or system access. We can use your NDA or provide our standard one.

How do I start a project?

Fill in the short form on our start a project page, or email hello@digivort.com. We reply within one business day, usually with a few questions and a time for an introductory call. After that we prepare a scope and quote.

Projects & pricing

How much does a website or platform cost?

It depends on scope: the number of page types, custom features, integrations, languages and how much content needs migrating. After a short discovery call we give you a written quote or a clear estimate range, and our pricing page shows typical starting points. We do not start work on an open-ended budget without your agreement.

How long does a project take?

A focused corporate site typically takes 6 to 10 weeks from discovery to launch. Online shops, multilingual sites and custom platforms usually take 3 to 6 months, depending on features and how quickly content and feedback are available. Each quote includes a timeline with milestones.

How do payments and deposits work?

Fixed-scope projects are typically milestone-based: a deposit to reserve the team and start discovery, then payments tied to agreed stages such as design approval, staging delivery and launch. Retainers are billed monthly in advance, and time-and-materials work is billed monthly for hours used. Exact terms are set out in each signed agreement.

Who owns the code when the project is finished?

You do. Once the project is paid for, you receive the full source code, documentation, and all accounts registered in your name. There are no licence fees to keep using your own platform and nothing stops you from hiring another team later.

Can you work on our existing website?

Yes. We can audit, fix, speed up or extend an existing site, or plan a full rebuild with a careful migration of content, URLs and SEO value. We start with a review so you know what is worth keeping before anything changes.

Technology

Should we use WordPress or Laravel?

WordPress is a sensible choice for simple blogs and small brochure sites with modest needs. Laravel suits businesses that need custom features, product catalogues, client portals, integrations, or tighter control over security and speed. We will recommend what fits your project honestly, even if that means a simpler option.

Do you build multilingual and right-to-left sites?

Yes, regularly. We build bilingual and multilingual sites including Arabic and Persian with proper right-to-left layouts, typography and separate editable content per language. Language-specific URLs and metadata are set up for search engines too.

Do you help with SEO?

Every site we build includes technical SEO foundations: clean URLs, fast pages, structured data, sitemaps and redirects from old pages. For ongoing growth we offer SEO and content services, including keyword research, content planning and multilingual SEO.

How do you handle data privacy and security?

We collect only the data a feature needs, encrypt data in transit, restrict admin access and keep software updated. Our work is designed with PIPEDA, BC PIPA and the UAE PDPL in mind, and we can host data in Canada or the UAE where required. For regulated sectors we work alongside your legal or compliance advisors.

What technology do you use?

Our platforms are built in PHP with Laravel, MySQL or MariaDB, and modern front-end tooling, on top of our own in-house engines. This gives you a widely supported, well-documented stack that other developers can work with.

Support & hosting

Where will our site be hosted?

Wherever suits your business and your data requirements. We can manage hosting for you on secure servers in Canada, the UAE or other regions, or deploy to your own provider or cloud account. See our hosting and email service for details.

What happens after launch?

We monitor the site closely after launch and fix any launch-related issues. After that you can choose a maintenance and support plan covering updates, backups, security monitoring and small changes, or a retainer for continued development.

How fast do you respond to support requests?

Response times are set in your support plan, with faster targets for urgent issues such as a site being down. Because our two offices cover different time zones, urgent requests do not have to wait until the next morning.

Can you manage our business email too?

Yes. We can set up and manage business email on your domain, including correct SPF, DKIM and DMARC records so your messages reach inboxes. We can also migrate existing mailboxes with minimal disruption.
